Description: Six strands built in the Warrington arrangement — an inner ring of 6 wires and an outer ring of 12 wires (18 wires per strand) — around a fiber core. The two-layer Warrington strand profile distributes contact stresses more evenly across sheave and drum groove surfaces than the single-layer 6×7, producing better fatigue resistance. Flexibility is meaningfully improved over 6×7 while retaining considerably better abrasion resistance than 6×19. This mid-range construction is cost-effective for applications where a balanced rope — moderate flexibility, adequate strength, reasonable abrasion resistance — is required without the cost of a more complex construction.
