Description: Starts from the already abrasion-resistant 6×7 construction and applies heavy compaction to achieve a near-cylindrical outer surface. The combination of massive outer wires (6×7 base) and heavy compaction produces the hardest and most abrasion-resistant surface of any standard wire rope. Fill factor approaches 0.87. Stiffer than 6×19 swaged — suited to straighter haul corridors and larger drum diameters where the stiffness is not a limiting factor.
