The highest quality and efficient container produced with Turkey's FIRST and ONLY High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) raw material.

The unique design of AirGrows containers has been updated since 1990 for a healthier product, constantly evolving to ensure that plants produce only efficient, fibrous roots without circulation. The container, made with Turkey's FIRST and ONLY High-Density  polyethylene (HDPE) raw material, is the highest quality and efficient container produced. Efficient roots mean faster growth and better absorption of nutrients and water. The containers, produced with first-quality raw materials, have a durable structure and can be reused multiple times even under tropical sunlight

About Air-Grows

• Air Grows system is the only container that completely eliminates root circulation and speeds up growth by up to 60%.

ʉۢ Two research studies conducted in the Netherlands and Germany, published recently, have shown that the British-designed and produced AirGrows container is the only type of pot that completely eliminates root circulation, creating a healthy root system that enables healthier growth of trees.

• An independent study conducted by Cultus Crop Research BV in the Netherlands has shown that trees grown in Air Grows containers achieve 60% more growth compared to open fields.

• In a German study led by Dr. Axel Schneidewind from the Saxony-Anhalt State Agency for Agriculture and Horticulture, five different containers were used to evaluate the growth and circulation of the roots of a common European landscape tree, the lime tree. Only AirGrows containers did not cause root circulation. The circulation caused by the other four containers adversely affected the health and growth of the trees both in the nursery and after being planted in landscape areas.

Studies conducted in the Netherlands in 2018-2019

In 2017, oak, lime, and willow trees were grafted and kept in the AirGrows system for one year to begin their lives with a healthy root structure. In October 2018, one-third of the trees were planted in the field, while the others were planted in 7.5-liter or 45-liter AirGrows containers. Trees grown in both sizes of AirGrows containers achieved more growth compared to those in the field, with the 45-liter container producing the greatest difference.

Thanks to this extraordinary growth rate, it is possible to reduce production time by one year and achieve a 50% increase in profit on the same land area.

Studies Conducted in Germany from 2008 to 2019

Starting in 2008, lime trees were planted in five different container types - standard hard-edged pots, Pot-in-Pot, Plantinbag®, Arbro-Perf®, and Airgrows®. The roots were regularly evaluated for three years to determine if there was any root circulation or deformation. With the exception of the Airgrows container, all containers experienced some type of damage to the roots.

The number of circulating roots in different container types was observed.

In 2011, all trees were planted in the field and their roots and growth rates were evaluated for another eight years. One tree from each container type was taken from the field and its roots were examined. In the photographs, you can see that root deformations that began in the other container types continued to worsen. Only the trees grown in AirGrows containers continued to develop a healthy root structure.

After four years,

one tree from each container type was taken from the field and its roots were examined. In the photographs, you can see that root deformations that began in the other container types continued to worsen. Only the trees grown in AirGrows containers continued to develop a healthy root structure.

After 8 years,

the five trees were pulled out of the ground and examined. Root deformations in four of the trees had worsened to the point of threatening their survival and balance. It was highly doubtful that any of these trees would reach maturity. In the tree that grew in the AirGrows container, a healthy radial root structure was still dominant without any signs of deformation.

After 8 years of growth, the tree grown in the Air Grows container was evaluated.

Air-Grows Features 60% more growth - 40% more productivity. Independent studies have proven the amazing advantages of plant cultivation with the AirGrows system. Research in Holland and Germany has shown remarkable growth both in nurseries and in the landscape after being planted. Laurel trees grown in 45-liter AirGrows containers, taken from AirGrows U, reached over 4 meters in height and 10 cm in thickness in just 20 months without grafting. They achieved 60% more growth compared to open fields.

AirGrows prevents roots from circling around the pot wall and encourages the plant to develop a more compact, fibrous, and healthy root structure. In addition to improving root structure, increased airflow in the substrate allows for the growth of healthy bacteria and the provision of more nutrients that plants need. As the plant's roots spread out, the shape of the pot wall directs each vein towards an opening. As a natural reaction, the tip of the vein dries out ("plugs") when it comes into contact with air, and new root shoots develop in the substrate from the existing vein. This process is repeated until the root system becomes a dense, fibrous, and compact unit. This resulting root system allows for better absorption of nutrients and water, enabling plants to grow faster and yield higher.

Benefits of AirGrows for Climate Crisis:

ʉۢ Trees are crucial in reversing global warming. The faster growth and guaranteed retention of trees grown in AirGrows means faster absorption of CO2 gas.

• Advantages have been brought to life for a long time by world-leading conservationists and gardening institutions using AirGrows containers to propagate endangered species.

How to Use AirGrows:

• AirGrows can be quickly and easily set up by bending it into a cylinder shape from both ends. Fill your growing medium or special mix with AirGrows, leaving a 2 cm watering gap at the top of the AirGrows. Place your seedling/clone/young plant into your growing medium and water it well. Due to the conical gaps surrounding AirGrows, the media in the pot tends to dry out faster compared to traditional pots. Air Technological Agriculture recommends AirGrows for good results in plant growth.
